For my kite project, I decided to choose the Amazon Jungle to try to bring more awareness about deforestation in the area. I took an image of the Amazon half alive and half cut down. I added many of the animals that are endangered to show what will go missing after all the fire and destruction. I used the Bengal Tiger in the middle to symbolize species going extinct because of deforestation. I chose to do this as my project in memory of the 9/11 attacks in 2001. My Dad was working relatively close to the buildings when they collapsed so it is something I will remember. I tried to show an image of the car from  back to the future zooming out of the old World Trade center and into the new one, to show that there is still something standing there after what happened. For my GIF, I experimented with a random background with my image in it. I implemented a soccer ball and tried to make a short animation of me kicking the ball.

Final Project

For my final project, I wanted to create myself in a dream. I thought about what I saw in my dreams the most along with asking my friends, and for the most part they said spirit animals, so I added a lot of animals, and I think it added a cool theme to the project. I tried to make the whole picture move except myself in the picture and the owl in the middle, which took me a long time, but I was happy with the result. The freaky face in the tree is mean't to represent nightmares, and the contrast between light and dark is mean't to display how quickly time passes in a dream. This project took me a lot of time, but I am satisfied with the result.
